EARLY DAYS
In 1977 Jim and his wife Linda came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Their friends were becoming committed Christians and, of course, in their excitement and zeal began sharing with them what a personal relationship with God meant. After many months of fighting them off they finally went to a home bible study. It was there that they heard for the first time about the love that God Himself has for us. He loved us so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to invite us to know Him! That night after the bible study in the quiet of his van, Jim gave his heart to the Lord. That very night the Lord delivered Jim from his violent temper, drug use, getting drunk, offensive language and his idol of music. Jim had been playing music in the Sacramento area for several years. God is still at work today transforming Jim’s life to conform him to the image of His son. With their new Christian friends they helped to start a “house church” and ministered there for eight years. In 1985 Jim quit his job with the government, they sold their house, gave away most of their possessions and entered into the ministry. Together with their 3 children they moved to Brookings, Oregon to work with a ministry called Pacific Praise Ministries. They were responsible to put together gospel concerts. A year later they returned to Sacramento, California and Jim became the worship leader and Associate Pastor at a church in Woodland, California.
GREAT BRITAIN
In 1987 Jim and Linda made their first trip to Great Britain to minister the word of God in song and speaking. Many doors of ministry were opened to them and they quickly became involved in traveling the entire country. They were able to minister in various denominations of churches, prisons, Full Gospel Businessmen’s meetings, house churches, hospitals, and various outreaches. They traveled and ministered throughout England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland until 2002.
NEW HOPE
In 1989 they became members of New Hope Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational church in the Sacramento area. Jim soon became a member of the New Hope Worship Ministry. New Hope became their “home church” as they continued to minister throughout the body of Christ. In 2002 Jim came on staff as a Pastor and the Worship Leader of New Hope Christian Fellowship. May of 2021 saw the release from New Hope as a staff pastor and worship leader.

Recorded in 1986, this album has found it’s way into countries all over the world. It’s a straight forward album of original songs featuring guitar, bass, piano and vocals. Listen for “The Monkey Song”.
Recorded in 1990, this album features a more contemporary sound and has been labeled “contem-praise” by many. The songs range from the personal “I Just Want to Thank You”, to the inspirational “This Must Be Heaven”, and the ballad “Let Me Hide Myself in Thee”.
After a concert, people would often ask if any of the music that was available had just guitar and singing on them. Still Waters was birthed from that request. It is simply guitar and vocal and creates a very worshipful environment.
Released in 1995, this album has a completely different feel than the previous albums. With the help of members of the New Hope Worship Ministry and other talented friends, a fresh contemporary acoustic sound was achieved.
In His Presence is not just a “catchy” phrase. In His presence is where everything is changed! This album focuses on worship and will challenge you as it draws you close to Him. Our desire is that just as Moses, Isaiah, and countless others were changed in the presence of God, so shall you be changed.
The latest release from Jim. It is a compilation of worship songs currently being sung at New Hope. Some of these songs are being used in other congregations as well. They were written and recorded with a heart of passion for a wonderful savior. Our prayer is that this cd will motivate the worshipper to pursue the presence of our great God.
